Privacy
This is a plain-English summary, not a substitute for legal advice. It describes the data practices of hamptons.ie at the first milestone.
What we collect
- Favourites are local only. The “+ Save” list lives in your browser’s local storage. It is not sent to us and there is no account behind it.
- Corrections are optional. The report form opens your own email app; we only receive what you choose to send.
- Outbound links. When you follow an outbound or affiliate link it goes through a short redirect so we can verify where it leads. We do not build a profile from this.
- Analytics (only if you accept). A notice at the bottom of the page asks for consent to first-party analytics. If you accept, each page view is recorded on our own server as just the page path and the referring site’s name. No IP address, no device details, no identifier, and nothing is sent to any third party. If you decline (or close the site without choosing), nothing is recorded.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not require an account for any core feature.
- We do not record sensitive query content in logs.
Your choices
Clearing your browser data clears your saved list. You can decline the analytics notice — declining means no page views are recorded at all. Your consent choice is stored only in your browser’s local storage (the record of your choice itself), so clearing this site’s site data resets it and the notice appears again.
For questions, or to ask us for, correct, or delete anything we hold about you (for example a correction you sent us), use the contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time.
